Three Briefs · Three Buyers

Start with the one that fits you.

Currituck County is three markets sharing one name, and a combined guide would be useless for all three. These are written separately on purpose.

The county behind the briefs.

Organized as a precinct in 1668 and a county since 1739, Currituck runs from the Virginia line to the Dare County line and is split down the middle by a sound you cannot drive across. It has no incorporated towns at all.

The broker

Travis Old

Horizon Realty Group · North Carolina Real Estate

Travis works the Northeast NC corridor — Currituck, Camden, Pasquotank, Perquimans — from an office on Caratoke Highway in Moyock, with a focus on buyers whose decisions need an operator's perspective rather than a brochure's. Currituck County alone splits into three genuinely different transactions: a commuter corridor pointed at Hampton Roads, where the trade is measured in minutes; a sound-side waterfront where the Coastal Area Management Act and the flood maps decide what you can build; and paved Corolla, where a mature vacation-rental market runs on numbers you have to get from owner statements, not from a website. One combined guide would shortchange all three — which is why this site is three separate briefs instead. Active in regional market data through RPR and an appointed member of the 2026 William C.
